James
gets his first 2007 podium!
The
BARC Formula Renault championship is well and truly back to glory
again with full grids. James got 2nd place in the 3rd race of the
season at Croft circuit (North Yorkshire). Although James still
feels there is plenty of work to be done to achieve better results,
this is closer to where he wants to be. Winning is always the goal!
James
wins at Thruxton race!
The 10th race
of the 2006 season has been won by James Heffernan! The season will
be coming to a close next weekend at the double race weekend of
Sept 23rd/24th and this win only reinforces James' ability as a
racer. "looking back on the race I think I could have gone
even faster! There was no-one around me to threaten my win in the
last few laps so I just backed off a touch and kept the car happy...
it was good I avoided trouble too as there were a few incidents
and I noticed a few cars spinning off the track!" James
would like to thank Xado for their
attendance and support during the race.
Marathon Weekend completed!
James ran the
London Marathon the very day after racing at Silverstone! Although
racing Formula Renault wasn't quite the ideal preparation day for
such a long run, James is proud to be one of those who have ran
the marathon.

James wins
the trophy class over both rounds at Snetterton.
Yet
again a great weekend of racing was had at Snetterton. James could
not afford to go testing at the circuit, unlike many of the other
competitors so the learning curve was steep again! "Qualifying
was my first time ever around the circuit and it took a while to
familiarise".
